New look for celery and celery root

With only 6 calories per cup, celery is a perfect warm-weather refresher and helps you stay hydrated due to its high moisture content. But there is no reason to limit yourself to the same old stick. Celery is a supplement to the most popular lobster rolls in summer.

Celery root, also known as celery root, is a delicious root of the celery plant, but the celery taste is less pronounced. Buy with other root vegetables in the agricultural section. Don't be intimidated by its rough appearance. It can be prepared in many delicious ways.

Celery root is a great alternative to cabbage without cooking and an ideal alternative to starchy vegetables such as potatoes because of its lower carbohydrate and calorie content-only 65 calories per cup, of which 14 grams of carbs and nearly 3 grams fiber. Its flavor turns into crispy potato chips, which is healthier than typical potato chips.

Celery root slices

  • 1 2 pounds celery root
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Cut off the top and bottom of the celery root. Use a paring knife to cut off bumps that are hard to be cut by a vegetable peeler, and then use a peeler to remove the remaining skin. If necessary, trim the celery root so that it rests flat on the mandolin. Hold the roots in place and cut into thin slices.

Transfer the dishes to a large bowl and sprinkle with olive oil until full. Add paprika, black pepper, garlic salt and onion powder, then mix again.

Place slices in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Immediately use or completely cooled, store in a sealed container for three days.
