Cooking is the most versatile art form. The way we cook speaks to our background, culture and other content. Although eating / feeding is a necessary condition for the survival of all species, only humans can convert food into more. But before becoming a culinary artist, we must first learn and master the basic cooking methods. These common cooking methods can be divided into two broad categories.

-Dry heat cooking method
-Damp heat cooking method

Cooking methods are divided into two categories based on how the food is cooked and the type of heat used.

Dry heat cooking method:

In the dry heat cooking method, the food being cooked does not use water to cook the food. Dry and heat food to cook it.

Baking

During the baking process, convection heating is used to cook the food. Put food in a closed area, and then apply heat in this area. The movement of heat in the confined space will act on the food to cook the food.

Some quick tips to help you become a better baker are:

* Use room temperature ingredients. Buy a quality baking sheet.
* Always use butter of the correct consistency.
* Before you start baking, make sure you have the ingredients ready.
* Ensure that all ingredients are accurately measured and weighed.

2. barbecue

Grilling is a form of cooking that involves applying dry heat to the food surface, usually from above or below. Grilling usually involves a lot of direct radiant heat and tends to be used quickly for cooking meat.

For a better barbecue, keep the following tips in mind:

* Always preheat the grill for 15-20 minutes before starting the grill to ensure it reaches the correct temperature.
* When the grill is hot, use a long-handle wire grill brush on the grill to remove burnt residue from previous meals.
* Grease your grill to avoid food sticking.

3. baking

When baking, heat the food directly. The heat seals the outside of the food, and the juice cooks inside the food. Baking is one of the simplest techniques, as little or no attention is required during the cooking process. This is the preferred method of cutting large chunks of juicy meat, starch, sugar-rich vegetables and even fresh fruits.

* First preheat the oven to 425 * F (convert it to degrees).
* Cut vegetables short to shorten baking time.
* Bake until golden brown and tender.

4.Microwave

The microwave is cooking food in the microwave. It is usually faster and more convenient than equivalent methods such as boiling or baking. For example, many vegetables can be cooked or steamed instead of microwaved.

Tips to keep in mind when planning to use this method:

* Always cover the plate with a microwave.
* Please arrange our food carefully to make it evenly cooked.
* Do not try recipes that require a lot of water because they don't cook well.
* Stir food frequently.

Damp heat cooking method:

1. boil

This is the most common cooking method and the simplest. With this cooking method, add enough water to the food and then cook it by heating. The effect of hot water makes the food tender.

Tips for better boiling food:

* When boiling, the evaporated water must be replenished.
* Any scum must be removed
* Boiled food must be drained as soon as possible to prevent overcooking.

2. fried

When frying food, be sure to follow some rules for handling fat.

* Make sure you put enough fat in the frying pan or fryer.
* The food to be cooked must not drip. This is because when water comes in contact with hot oil, the oil will boil and spray out of the pot, and if you are not careful, you may burn your skin.
* Before the food is fried in the pan, the oil should be heated to the proper temperature.

3.grill

The methods of cooking food by barbecue are usually parties and picnics. Best suited for cooking steaks, fish or chicken pieces with this cooking method. Food is usually marinated with spices and tenderizers for a period of time before cooking. The key to a delicious barbecue is an accurate mix of time and temperature. Need patience and focus. You need to wait for the flame to go out, this is the right time to start cooking.

4. turn white

Note Scalding is a cooking process in which food, usually vegetables or fruits, is burned in boiling water, removed after a short interval, and finally placed in ice water or cold tap water to stop the cooking process. To heat food before cooking, pour water into a pot and bring to a boil. Remove scum (if any). Place the vegetables in boiling water for a short time. Use pliers to remove the vegetables or drain the hot water. Immerse the scalded vegetables in cold water immediately to prevent further cooking.
